cPanel Clients - New Webmail Program (Roundcube) Installed

On Monday morning (22/09/2008), a power supply at the datacentre, that was in a server in the same cabinet as the primary mail file server failed. When it failed, it short circuited one of our providers power distribution units (PDU) - essentially a multiboard on a much larger scale with a few neat tools for keeping track of power load and controlling power to each outlet. When a short circuit occurs, the circuit breaker between the PDU and our providers power feed is automatically switched off to protect the wiring in the building and prevent a fire from starting. This resulted in around 15 servers at the datacentre and a network switch losing power.

Domain Name payments made via Paymex.

This is an important message is for those clients who have attempted to make a domain name renewal through our Domain Manager system at www.domains.loungenetwork.co.nz, between the dates of 25/09/2008 to the 12/09/2008, and attempted to pay by CREDIT CARD via Paymex's credit card payment system. This message only applies to those clients who have attempted to pay by Credit Card, and not by Direct Credit or Cheque.
Due to a problem with the credit card processing company Paymex, clients who attempted to renew/register a domain name and pay for it by credit card, the transaction has not gone through, which would have been indicated by a blank screen after your entered in your credit card details, rather than a confirmation page that payment had been processed.

19/07/2008 - PHP 4 End-Of-Life Plans for all Linux Users - FURTHER UPDATE

We have now received notification from our cPanel Hosting provider that PHP4 will be disabled on the Concorde and Libra servers on approximately the 15th August 08, and replaced with PHP 5. Therefore please make sure your scripts that use PHP 4 will work with PHP 5 before this switch over date. PHP 5 on the server will also be upgraded to version 5.2.6. Information about the PHP 4 End of Life can be found in our previous update about this below, and how to switch your website to PHP 5 now.
