Mailbox Storage Upgrade

Details
Hardware used for storing mailboxes is being upgraded.

Start Time: 24/03/2009 23:00 NZDT (This has been moved an hour earlier)
End Time: 25/03/2009 06:00 NZDT

During this maintenance window, our upstream providers will be migrating mailboxes from the servers that they are currently stored on to new hardware. This will improve the performance of mailboxes via POP and IMAP, and reduce delays in mail processing.

RSS Subscribe CRON server upgrade for clients on our Corporate and Business Class Hosting plans

Dear Corporate and Business Hosting Plan Clients,

Our upstream providers plan to replace the shared FTP / Cron server in approximately 2 weeks time, on the 1st of April. The server will run on a new VMware ESX environment and will run the most recent version of the Debian Operating System.

RSS Subscribe Upstream provider outage on our Corporate / Business Class hosting plans

There was a 5 minute outage with our upstream provider today.

Our upstream provider had an outage between 14:47 and 14:52 today that caused intermitant connection problems for all services. The problem was resolved and service is now back to normal.

RSS Subscribe Email Server Upgrades for CPanel users

Starting from this week, our providers we will be upgrading all shared hosting cPanel based servers to a different email server. Everything will work identically as it did prior to this changeover, and no settings at the clients end need to change. The only noticeable difference will be much faster connection speeds for IMAP users.

RSS Subscribe Telecom / Xtra Email Problems

We have recieved reports, that Telecom / Xtra clients who connect to the internet via Telecom / Xtra are likely to be unable to send email at this time. There appears to be more problems with Xtra's outgoing smtp.xtra.co.nz mail server. Please don't change any setting trying to correct this. They will likely fix the problem as soon as possible. If you have any questions or need help with this, please contact Telecom directly. This issue has also been reportedin the media here,
